A step into punk rock prime school. 59 TTP calls the public by taking their sound back to the roots

The Swedish oldschoolers are back with less shouting and crunching and more rocking and rolling. Opener ‘Rock The City’ sets the pace for the album which sees a heavily Clash-influenced sound replacing the band’s original sound (which may sound strange but actually works pretty well). Vocalist Magnus’ voice suits the new style perfectly and the retro punk rock of tunes like ‘Welcome To The 21st Century’ and ‘Classaction’ retain the band’s nack for nailing a catchy tune albeit in a far more stripped down manner. All in all, a solid new (old?) sound for the 59 boys with the lack of shouting actually making the bands’ comments on society all the more effective.   Read Full Review >>
ROCKSOUND UK 4/5

Sweden is more often than not, recognised for its high quality (apparently!?) porn and death metal than for having a fine underground hardcore scene which is a surprise especially if all the bands are of the
same quality as this outfit. So, if you’re looking for an insight into that scene, "Calling The Public" would be as good a place as any to start. Opener "Rock The City" sets out the blueprint for the rest of the album with its upbeat feel and loud lairy chorus with the likes of "Freedom Station" and "Room With A View" following suits. This is hardcore without the aggression
but with the energy and controlled chaos of the underground punk scene making this the ideal album to shout and pogo to. Checking out and hear for yourself that not everything from Sweden falls into the Euro Metal category!
