Fast! This CD is FAST! And good too! If I remember correctly, I wasn’t so into their last album as the vocals really stood out as being bad, but this time they are way down in the mix and the whole thing sounds a million times better. And of course I just think the songs are much better too. 12 tracks of super-fast, no thrills hardcore that sounds like BATTERY or YOUTH OF TODAY on ’45! Fantastic!   Read Full Review >>

Oooh, hardcore from Scandinavia that doesn’t sound like (the excellent) Millencolin – now there’s a thing. Section 8 are something different altogether – sure the undercurrents are melodic (played at a great rate of knots, of course), but the vocals owe more to New York than Sweden’s chilly shores. The production is very tidy – powerful yet understated and not in your face too much. Everything compliments everything else rather than the often made mistake of everything louder.. . This is Section 8’s debut full length, but it shows a maturity and presence behind the awesome power and relentless pace that is both surprising and welcome. They do go a bit rocky in places, notably ‘Instrumental’, but in a competent, confident way with thankfully no spandex in sight.
