ARGUABLY EUROPE’S biggest selling punk band at the moment, Sweden’s Millencolin have filtered the ska out of their sound but not the infectious bounce. ‘Fox’ sounds for all the world like Green Day with funny – okay, funnier – accents, what with its boinging bass-lines, simplistic riffs and big, easy hooks. The live version of ‘Penguins & Polarbears’ also contains the worst link to a song ever conceived. “It’s cold over here,” says singer Nikola Sarcevic. “I guess you’ve got the Polar Bears here pretty soon. ...we knew Burning Heart still had some great bands! Tite track is from Pennybridge Pioneers, it's a cool catchy stomper but then you ouhgts already be familiar w/ that one, and we also get three unreleased cuts, 'Kemp' is a good mid-paced rager while 'Penguins & Polarbears' and 'No Cigar' are versions taped live in Melbourne a few months ago, the latter being a particularly fine n' fiery punker.
